Market Timing Digest's best
NEW: From now on every month we will look back to see which analysts produced the clearest forecast the previous month.
Looking back at the Market Timing Digest turning dates from 2013, this is what we see:
It was a strange market in 2013, definitely not a free market as it was driven by central bank politics with debt money, of which more than 70% ended up in the books of the banks (according to Andre Huszar, manager of Federal Reserve’s department of $1.25 trillion mortgage-covered securities – in 2009-2010, in the article Confessions of a Quantative Easer, Wall Street Journal, 12th November 2013). Normal, natural cycles could not take place in this market where most power was concentrated by banks and corrections were minimal. However, on the chart for 2013 we see 7 bottoms and only one notable top: 8 important turns. Of the 8, 7 fell under the turning dates of Market Timing Digest.
The greatest movement was upward and hardly held back by corrections. During the whole of 2013 there were, on the way up, only 7 clear buying chances. Of the 7, 6 were Market Timing Digest turning dates, indicated with a * in the chart below.
Dow Jones on day basis 2013. The stars show MTD turning dates that coincided with buying chances in 2013. 85 percent of the buying chances were forecasted as possible trend changes by MTD turning dates. We missed the last buying chance (~) but the year’s highest market rate (@) coincided with the last turning date zone of the year: see @ sign.
The best turning data for 2013!
All mentioned, remarkable market days, 6 buying chances of the 7 and the year’s peak, were named by Raymond Merriman.
